Dr. Sylvia Yang was born in Beijing, China, and grew up in Pennsylvania. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine. She completed her clinical training, including Internal Medicine residency and fellowships and in General Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at Harvard Medical School/Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where she served as the chief interventional fellow.

Dr. Yang is certified in General Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology. She is the director of Complex Coronary Interventions and Chronic Total Occlusions at Catholic Medical Center.

Dr. Yang is drawn to the field of cardiology for its rapid advancements in both procedural and medical therapies. In the cardiac catheterization lab, she is dedicated to treating advanced and complex coronary diseases using various cutting-edge technologies. In her clinic, she prioritizes building personal relationships with her patients. She combines invasive and noninvasive diagnostic modalities to ensure the most accurate diagnoses. She values in-depth discussions with her patients to tailor personalized treatment plans through shared decision-making.
